Rave Against Racism Sheffield is proud to announce that the proceeds of our gig on 24th May will go to Sheffield Live. Sheffield Live! 93.2FM is a dynamic, positive and outward looking urban community radio service celebrating the diversity of Sheffield's inner city. The station launched on 29th October 2007 and provides an eclectic mix of original programming by local people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities. The station is on air 24 hours a day, with a potential audience of around 300,000 people in urban Sheffield and parts of Rotherham. http://www.sheffieldlive.org/ |

We have both been so busy for the last couple of weeks that I have not had chance to get this section going. The Sheffield event is coming together nicely and it is going to be a great mix of old school pioneer, cracking bands and some top notch talent from around the country. We have been very lucky in managing to book The Orb who are doing a full band set up and who have a new Album coming out in the next few weeks. It's a bit scarey for me to think it's 17 years since The Orb and Primal Scream played Sheffield Arena as a fundraiser for striking miners. John |
